Happy Spring

Here are my monkeys, enjoying the Spring weather - a tease for what's to come.  We are doing well, minus the illnesses that keep entering our home and never leaving with all of us healthy.  

Hayden is doing very well in pre-school.  Her "boy" friends have become mean and aggressive which has her  she's hanging out with the girls.  So, as she puts it "I don't like Spiderman anymore, I want more girl things."  HA!  That will teach you boys!!!  She is quite the helper and receives nothing but outstanding compliments from her teacher, Ms. Barb.  She is becoming a fantastic swimmer and is currently learning freestyle and the backstroke.  She is very excited to start Kindergarten this Fall, though, "I'm going to miss my friends at BECC."

Jack too is doing well in pre-school.  He loves his mommy and wants to stay home with her, but enjoys his teacher and school friends.  His teacher, Ms. Jean always has nothing but good things to say about him and he is very proud of all of his work.  He still loves the Wiggles and playing the guitar.  He too is doing well with swimming, just needing a couple reminders to keep his face in the water and to roll on to his back to breath.  Jack wants to go to Kindergarten with Hayden, he's going to miss having his big sister at school with him.  He'll be fine though, he is quite social!

Mommy is doing well.  I've been trying to train for a 10k that is coming up in May, but these illnesses keep setting me back.  I've been pretty diligent, so hopefully I'll be just fine.  Other than that, I still enjoy outings with my Widow's/Widower's group and often meet up with school Mom's for lunch and outings with the kids.  Being an only parent is starting to wear on me, so I look forward to ANY breaks I can get!  The kids are full of energy and keep my days going non-stop.  We talk about daddy often and how much we miss him.  Overall, I think we are all doing well.  The kids are happy go lucky kids that enjoy playing and having fun.
